Watch the WONDER WOMAN International Trailer

The WONDER WOMAN International Trailer shows us the power of the superhero film amidst different voices.

A lot is riding on the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, both for DC and women directors. And I’m rooting for this film to exceed its expectations. Not only has DC had some mixed results in is recent movies (both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad under-performed at the box office), but having a woman direct this female-centric superhero story has probably turned some heads.

But because women have been by and large highly under-represented in the film industry, we are hoping for both the studio, the director (Patty Jenkins), and the actress to greatly impress everyone and prove that women don’t have to be in supporting roles in an action-packed movie.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, and Robin Wright as General Antiope, as well as Lucy DavisLisa Loven KongsliDanny HustonEwen BremnerElena AnayaFlorence Kasumba, and Saïd Taghmaoui.
