YA Series DOON Optioned For TV

The otherworldly fantasy series DOON is headed toward a small screen adaptation!

The Doon series by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon is in development for television!

The series follows Veronica, who travels to Scotland for the summer with her best friend, Mackenna. When the two discovery a mysterious relic, they soon find themselves transported to a world beyond their own– a world where Veronica finally collides with a mysterious boy from her dreams. But Veronica and Mackenna arrival may have broken the enchantment surrounding the idyllic world, and it’s up to them to make it right.

USA Today’s HEA announced that the four-book series loosely based on the musical Brigadoon has been optioned by Dreamstreet Entertainment and Lonetree Entertainment with an exclusive interview with the authors.

“We’re still in the early stages of attaching talent,” Carey Corp said. “Then the script needs to be written before we go and shoot the pilot. Once the pilot is filmed, then it gets shopped to networks and, hopefully, finds a home.”

The authors also talk about their dream cast and hopes for visiting the set.
