This FEAR THE WALKING DEAD behind-the-scenes featurette gives us a look at what’s to come for the second half of season 3.
With the slow burn that’s been the first two seasons of Fear the Walking Dead, it’s surprising how fast things have changed for Madison (Kim Dickens) and her kids, Nick (Frank Dillane) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey). And it’s going to change even more now that the leadership dynamic at Broke Jaw Ranch has turned, even if Madison isn’t officially in charge. With the two Otto brothers, Jake (Sam Underwood) and Troy (Daniel Sharman) still dealing with their own personal turmoils, and Walker (Michael Greyeyes) and his tribe making themselves at home, it’s easy to see there’s not a whole lot of optimism going around.
Of course, there’s still the other issues off the ranch to contend with, like Victor Strand (Colman Domingo), Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades), and Ofelia (Mercedes Mason), who made her brief appearances in the first half of the season.
The interesting thing is that there isn’t a clear bad guy in the bunch. Not really. Not like a Negan or a Governor. At least not yet. Maybe there will be in the future, but it’s still interesting as it is, and this featurette proves it.
Fear the Walking Dead returns with a two-hour mid-season premiere on September 10th at 9pm on AMC.
