THE WALKING DEAD Mid-Season Premiere Trailer Teases “The Last Stand”

All-Out War begins in THE WALKING DEAD mid-season finale!

WARNING: Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 8 Mid-Season finale ahead!

The Walking Dead managed perhaps its most polarizing and controversial moment yet in the Season 8 mid-season finale, “How It’s Gotta Be.” After The Saviors hit back hard against the other local communities, Alexandria was destroyed, Rick failed to kill Negan again despite ample opportunity, and the groups were left largely in disarray. As if that weren’t enough, the episode ended with a reveal that Carl was bitten by a zombie several episodes ago.

There was plenty of outrage that followed, especially when Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl, made it abundantly clear that he had no plans to leave the show and was instead let go by showrunner Scott Gimple and AMC in an interview with THR.

The character will be back for one final round in the mid-season premiere this February, but that’s not the focal point of the preview for the return. Instead, Rick stands by a grave before we see chaos interrupt and some more volleying of threats between Rick and Negan.

The Walking Dead returns Sunday, February 25, 2018.
