SUPERNATURAL Stars Give Inside Scoop On Season 12

SUPERNATURAL stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles give an inside scoop on season 12.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for season 11 finale.

In the season 11 finale of SUPERNATURAL we were left with consecutive cliffhangers that could have set anyone into overload. First, we saw Sam held at gun point by London’s Men of Letters charter member, Toni Bevell, being accused of everything that has been said and done in past seasons. As Sam confronts Toni pushing that she wouldn’t shoot him, the scene cuts out after seeing her pull the trigger. No telling whether Sam got shot or not. But it’s Sam Winchester so he probably did.

In an interview with TVLine, Jared Padalecki confirms that Sam did indeed get shot, though ‘where’ is still a mystery. We’ll most likely find that out in the next season.

“What else is new – Sam gets injured,” Padalecki added with a laugh. “At least I’m not getting tortured – yet.”

The second cliffhanger was left with our other beloved Winchester, Dean. Finally, reuniting and putting their differences aside, God and Amara are overdue for a family chat and before they leave Amara grants Dean the one thing he’s always wanted, his mother. Alike many fans Jensen Ackles was bummed when Papa Winchester wasn’t the one returning from the dead “But I knew they couldn’t get Jeffrey Dean Morgan back.” Ackles stated in the interview.

“I’m anxious to see how that [surprise return] pans out,” said Ackles, adding that he and Padalecki are meeting with new showrunners Robert Singer and Andrew Dabblater this week. “[My reaction] was kind of like, ‘What’s going to happen now? How is this going to work out?’”

As fans of the show we have to be super excited about this comeback. This is one of few shows that can actually resurrect characters and it be plausible due to the fact that there are supernatural forces. It is a big life changer for the boys and we definitely want to see how this will pan out for our always-dieing-but-coming-back-to-life-demon-and-monster-hunting siblings.

Don’t miss the premiere of season 12 of SUPERNATURAL Thursday, October 13th, at 9/8c on The CW.
