Changes for SUPERGIRL’s Floriana Lima and THE 100’s Tasya Teles

THE 100’s Tasya Teles to move to regular series character, while SUPERGIRL’s Floriana Lima changed to recurring character.

A couple of cast changes were announced for two CW shows. Floriana Lima, who plays Detective Maggie Sawyer, aka Alex’s girlfriend and half of the Sanvers ship on Supergirl, will not be on board as a regular series character for season 3. She’ll be returning as a recurring character, thus limiting her time on the show to maybe only a handful of episodes. What this means for the Alex and Maggie shippers, we don’t know.

*spoiler* For those of you who have been keeping up with the series, there was a surprise proposal when Alex asked Maggie to marry her. The season ended with a smile, but no answer, so we’ll probably get the answer on the first episode on Season 2 this Fall.

“We adore Floriana and have loved working with her to tell this inspiring story,” the producers said in a statement. “Although she’s not available to us as a series regular next season, as she’s looking to pursue other opportunities, we’re happy she’ll be returning for multiple episodes in Season 3.”

As for The 100, Tasya Teles, who’s been a recurring character named Echo since season 2, has been promoted to a regular for the show’s fifth season. We first saw her character as one of the Grounders caged and experimented upon by the Mount Weather group. She’s played a significant role in this last season as well, being part of Ice Nation.

*spoiler* In last week’s season finale, Echo escapes Praimfaya with Bellamy and Raven on the rocket the Arkadians were able to launch to the Ark, but at the last part of the episode, six years have passed since their escape, which we’ll learn the results of next season. Guess we’ll see how much has changed about her and the rest of the characters when the show returns in 2018.
