SDCC 2017 | THE MAGICIANS Interview with John McNamara and Sera Gamble

We sit down with THE MAGICIANS show runners John McNamara and Sera Gamble to have them discuss the future of the show.

We ask The Magicians show creators John McNamara and Sera Gamble to give us some teaser about what to expect for season 3, which Sera reveals will be a challenge for the characters as well as the writers as magic has been taken from the world due.

They then talk about the Muntjac, a ship that was actually from the books, and is also a living entity that has feelings of its own.

In the video below, we see the cast getting to see the Muntjac for the first time as well:

In regards to seeing any of the old gods, both John and Sera confirm that we will, in fact, see more of the old gods in the coming season.

About the most powerful of the magicians, Alice will have her own challenges, which they did talk a bit about. And they also expand more on Margo’s betrayal towards Eliot and what that meant for her character.

As far as having more musical numbers in the show, McNamara did stated that even Gamble thought of a musical number, to which she didn’t deny.

The Magicians will return for its third season in 2018 on Syfy.
