Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. gets a new time slot with the announcement of a fourth season.
ABC has announced the return of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a fourth season beginning September 20. One thing has changed, however: the show has been bumped from 9 p.m. ET to 10 p.m on Tuesday nights.
While the show originally debuted in ABC’s 8 p.m. timeslot back in 2013, it was moved an hour later to allow for the adaptation of an edgier tone. Now, as the show is pushed back another hour, there’s a similar explanation.
ABC president Channing Dungey made the announcement of season four’s time slot change with the promise to allow the series “to go a little bit edgier, go a little darker and take some risks.”
