Fox agrees to Put Pilot for new Marvel X-Men TV Series

20th Century Fox has guaranteed that you will get a chance to see the first episode of the Marvel X-Men related TV series.

A Marvel X-Men action-adventure series is in the works at Fox!  Not only that, but Fox has agreed to a put pilot for the series.  What that means is that they’ve committed to airing the pilot episode, a commitment that doesn’t happen often.

Yes, it looks like Fox has consented to work with the comic entertainment company for a Marvel X-Men related series that doesn’t seem to have a title yet.  Only a concept, but the concept sounds fairly exciting and very expandable from the X-Men universe.

The untitled project will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Of course, fans will immediate wonder if any familiar mutants will make be making appearances on the series, but one thing at a time folks.  All will come in time.  We’d just like to get more details about the family and the mutants that join for now.

Matt Nix has signed on as executive producer and will be writing the pilot episode.  Joining him will be X-Men‘s Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, and Simon Kinberg, as well as Jeph Loeb (“Daredevil,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist”) and Jim Chory (“Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Agent Carter”.)
