The Fandom’s 6th Anniversary Day 1 – RENEGADES Prize Pack

Celebrate our anniversary with a whole week’s worth of amazing giveaways!

Today is The Fandom’s sixth anniversary! Can you believe we’ve been dishing out fandom news and feels for SIX YEARS now?!

It all started with THE POTTER GAMES, a Harry Potter / Hunger Games Choose Your Own Adventure created by 40+ fans launched in July 2011. THE HOGWARTS GAMES— a mash-up of the same fandoms in the other direction– was quick to follow. We had some much fun with all that chaos, but we also knew there were so many other fandoms we loved; fandoms we wanted to share news about and discuss in earnest.

Like a baby phoenix rising from the ashes, The Fandom was born on December 26, 2011!

Things looked a lot different back then, and the range and depth of the fandoms we cover has expanded massively, too. We’ve always been thrilled with our geektastic corner of the Internet, its passionate writers, and the amazing opportunities we’ve had.

Of course, we owe much of this to YOU, the readers, so we’re saying thank you with a week’s worth of giveaways! Every day, we’ll have a new great prize to win and yes, it’s open internationally! Here’s what you can win today:

  • Shiny new hardcover edition of Marissa Meyer‘s Renegades (not the edition pictured above)
  • Anarchist and Renegade themed pins
  • A sampler from Marissa Meyer and Douglas Holgate‘s Wires & Nerve, Vol. 2: Gone Rogue graphic novel, out January 30, 2018 (not pictured)

About Author

  1. I’m in the middle of this book now, and I think I’d rather be with the Renegades because they’re trying to make the world a better place.

  2. I would rather be a villian not just because its sound more interesting but I think they have more freedom when it comes to their actions

  3. As much as I’d love to be an anarchist, I’m a good person, so I guess there’s no choice for me other than being a cool but humble Renegade ahaha

  4. “Would you rather be a hero (Renegade) or a villain (Anarchist)? Why?” I would be a renegade! “Anarchist” doesn’t sound fun at all!

  5. Renegade. I think some of them are definitely shady, but there’s a lot of good guys with good intentions and a common plan, whereas the Anarchists just want to topple the system but have no qualms about doing damage and they have no real alternative.
However, I do agree with Nova most of the time!

  6. My first thought was a Renegade but I haven’t read the book yet. Honestly, I don’t know because the truth is there isn’t just a good hero and evil villain.

  7. I think it would be fun to be an Anarchist, but I’m a pacifist and like there to be peace (even if I have to yell -my equivalent to fighting- to make that peace happen) so realistically I’d be a Renegade.

  8. I’m an anarchist!!! Sometimes being good isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be! I need to explore my villainous side!
