STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Intros Crystal Foxes, General Holdo, Plus TV Spot

New creatures, new creatures, and new TV spots in latest look at STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI!

We’re less than three weeks away from the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Lucasfilm is teasing us with a new TV spot and peeks at fresh franchise elements we’ll be introduced to in the film!

First up, a new TV spot (featured above) shows Captain Phasma welcoming someone back, presumably Finn, before diving into some quick action shots of the main characters and ending with Chewbacca abusing a poor little Porg.

Additionally, we learning that Porgs aren’t the only new creatures coming to the galaxy far, far away. A new video featurette from EW is introducing everyone to vulptex aka Crystal Foxes (named after the latin word of “fox”) from the planet Crait.

The magazine also has the scoop on General Holdo, Laura Dern’s new Resistance leader who isn’t quite as beloved as General Leia Organa, particularly by Poe Dameron.

“You have to sort of figure out who’s side you’re on or what your feelings are about her,” Dern said of the character. She also said that Holdo defies stereotypes regarding female bosses. “Like if she looks a certain way, she can’t achieve the job or she must be brazen. You know, all the different versions of what we label someone. I mean, there are reasons why I might look the way I look.”

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
