SYNOPSIS
The city of Chicago has crumbled, cut off from all that lies outside of its borders. Everyone must choose one of the five factions to live among on their 16th birthday: Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, or Erudite, based on their personality and beliefs. When Tris learns that she is divergent, she knows that being so different is extremely dangerous. What follows is a whirlwind of deception, fear, and strength as Tris discovers who she really is in her new life.
