Brief Summary (spoilers)

art by werewolf-at-heart
Being the Greenie in the Glade, Thomas surely has what it takes to fight Grievers, protect his friends and solve secret codes. He will do almost anything to help his friends, including going through the single most painful thing that can happen to a person who goes into the maze in order to get information that may help everyone escape. Thomas is one of the strongest fighters in the Glade as well as the more humble boys in the Glade.

Why We Like Him (spoilers)
Thomas is the Glader that shakes everything up. He’s the first to take creative initiatives to find a way out of the maze and figure out what WICKED is up to. While fiercely loyal to his friends, Thomas will stand up to anyone of them in order to do what he thinks is right. He’s the brains of the Maze Runner series and without him, no one would have made it out alive. Also, he has TELEPATHY. Isn’t that reason enough? – Kait (thefandom.net)

The thing that makes Thomas likeable is his blind determination. He knows what he wants and what he wants to accomplish and he will let nothing stand in his way. His decisions are based on the only thing he knows; he has to get out of the maze. His determination is the origin of the bravery that shines throughout all of the obstacles he faces until the very end. – princessleiagoespink

Why We Like Her

art by kooeya112
Christina is the best friend that I think many of us would like to have. She is able to hold her own in Dauntless and definitely exudes bravery in her actions. She also has a sense of humor that often comes out when interacting with Tris. – Ashleygirl10
Christina leaves her safe Candor life to begin anew with the Dauntless. It’s a brave and anyone can say takes guts, especially for a girl afraid of moths. I’ve always liked Christina and thought of her as a particularly strong character next to Tris. She goes through a heck of a lot more than anyone of us would want to (namely the whole brainwashing thing), but she doesn’t complain. Even when she learns it was Tris that killed Will, she doesn’t hate her best friend. Christina’s power to forgive and focus on the task at hand is truly admirable – making her an epic character. – Kennedy
