RON WEASLEY (Harry Potter)
Brief Summary (spoilers)

by Forbis
Ronald “Ron” Bilius Weasley (b. 1 March, 1980) was a pure-blood wizard, and the sixth son of Molly and Arthur Weasley. He was also the younger brother of Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George, and the elder brother of Ginny. Ron and his brothers and sister lived in The Burrow where Harry and Hermione stayed quite often. Ron began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1991 and was sorted into Gryffindor house. He soon became best friends with fellow student Harry Potter and later Hermione Granger.
Together, they faced many challenges during their adolescence, including keeping the Philosopher’s Stone from Quirinus Quirrell, saving Ron’s sister from the Chamber of Secrets, forming Dumbledore’s Army, and fighting in numerous battles of the Second Wizarding War, including the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, and the Battle of the Seven Potters. Ron also became a Gryffindor prefect and a Keeper on the Gryffindor Quidditch team during his fifth year at Hogwarts. He skipped his last year of school in order to accompany Harry and Hermione on a quest to destroy the Horcruxes of Lord Voldemort and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998, in which he lost his brother, Fred, a loss which devastated him.
After the war, Ron, along with Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom, joined the Aurors at the invitation of Minister for Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt, in order to track down Death Eaters who escaped capture[14]. Eventually, he went to work at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes with his brother George[15]. He and Hermione eventually married and had two children: a daughter named Rose and a son named Hugo Weasley. Ron was also the godfather to James Sirius Potter, his sister Ginny Weasley and Harry Potter’s eldest child.

Why we like him
He is stubborn, cowardly and not very intelligent, but he’s loyal and brave and always there when Harry need’s him. Despite seeming a little dim and cowardly at first he turns out to be one of the bravest characters in the series. – princesslena
CINNA (The Hunger Games)
Brief Summary (spoilers)
Cinna is one Capitol citizen who never really seemed to belong there. He is Katniss’s stylist for the games and presents himself as a regular guy. He does not dress in outlandish clothing like the majority of the Capitol dwellers and his only embellishment is his gold eyeliner. This, in a way, is how Cinna reveals himself to be a rebel. He is unwilling to compromise who he is. He’s a very gentle, Zen-like man who deeply cares for Katniss and is driven to do everything in his power to help her win. He is responsible for Katniss turning into the Girl on Fire, which really got district 12 noticed. His shining moment doesn’t come until Catching Fire when he turns Katniss from Bride to Mockingjay. This, of course means a death sentence, and cements his role as a rebel.

Cinna’ designs suggest that he is intelligent and crafty, able to create noteworthy imagery around his tributes so that they will be noticed. He maintains strong control over his emotions so that his subtle acts of defiance towards the Capitol will not be too obvious. He personally told Katniss that he channels his emotions through his work. He does however show care for Katniss and a deep desire to oppose the Capitol through his knowledge of fashion.
Cinna is described as being a very sweet, lovely, enigmatic person who takes pride in his work. He is also a very caring person. Despite being Capitol raised, in the movie, he says he is sorry that Katniss became a tribute, to her. Unlike most, who just congratulate her. He attempts to calm Katniss down right before the 74th Hunger Games by holding her hand and saying if he was allowed to bet, he would bet on her. He seems to be something of a father figure for her, as well as a friend. Katniss also wonders if his “Calm and normal demeanor masks a complete mad man” as mentioned in Book One.

Why We Like Him (mild spoilers)
Probably one of the only characters who has not been ‘broken’. Cinna doesn’t have an endearing sob story in his past, that we know of. Cinna is unbelievably down to earth for a Capitol citizen. He cares for Katniss, despite her hard outer shell, and understood what she was going through, even though as a Capitol citizen he should have no idea. That makes him just remarkable. Cinna acted as an antidote to the harsh violence that surrounds Katniss. My favourite Cinna quote – “I always channel my emotions into my work. That way, I don’t hurt anyone but myself.” – perfectly sums him up. He was gentle, and talented, and kind. – uchihakatniss
I remember first being introduced to Cinna. He was part of the Capitol, he wasn’t to be trusted, and then WHAM! He quickly becomes one of the greatest THG characters of all time. He guided Katniss, he inspired her, encouraged her…. He started the Mockingjay. – Ice-ridden (artist of YA books)
