LUNA LOVEGOOD (Harry Potter)
Brief Summary

By alicexz
Luna Scamander (née Lovegood) (born c. 1981) was a witch and daughter of Xenophilius Lovegood and his wife. Her mother accidentally died while experimenting with spells when Luna was nine, and Luna was raised by her father, editor of the magazine The Quibbler, in a rook-like house around the village of Ottery St. Catchpole. Luna attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1992 to 1999 and was sorted into Ravenclaw house. In her fourth year, Luna joined Dumbledore’s Army, of which she became an important member.
She participated in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1996 and the Battle of the Astronomy Tower in 1997, and co-led the reconstituted Dumbledore’s Army when Hogwarts fell under the control of Lord Voldemort. Because of her father’s political dissidence at the time, Luna was abducted by Death Eaters to be held ransom, and imprisoned in the dungeons of Malfoy Manor for months. She was freed by Dobby along with several other prisoners in the spring of 1998, and stayed at Shell Cottage until she returned to Hogwarts to participate in the final battle of the Second Wizarding War. Later in life, Luna became a wizarding naturalist and eventually married Rolf Scamander, with whom she had two sons, Lorcan and Lysander.

Why we like her
She has never stopped believing in the cause, when everyone else has. She also has a childlike knowledge about her that makes her instantly likeable. Her strength is revealed in her inquisitive, hopeful nature. It shows that when you believe in something, nobody should stop you from believing it. – rebelashrunner
May be weird and an outcast, but she’s brave, intelligent and not afraid to be different. – princesslena
I love Luna Lovegood because though she’s a blue eyed blond, she’s not ditzy as people think as per the stereotype. She’s caring and kind and doesn’t really seem to know what’s going on in the world around her. And she really doesn’t care what people think about her. Luna’s strengths are magical creatures and knowledge of magical creatures not many know about. – aquila
She brought cheerfulness, dreaminess and confusion to the series, which took away some of the scary, hard moods that were very common. She was funny and lightened every scene she was in. She gave hope to everyone in the D.A and the famous trio itself. She was full of bright ideas and had a helpful, very different view on life. She cared for everyone. Luna spread joy in the hardest of times. – absterie
Luna is awesome. Her quirkiness and strange personality is so cute, but her positivity and optimism is a delight in the rough times of the story. At the top of my head in the Order of the Phoenix, the last scenes, she and Harry are talking and her possessions have been taken but she simply brushes it off as “all good and fun”. Then skips off to get some pudding. There’s a little Lovegood for ya. – ausomejen (from endersgamefandom.net)
REYNA (Percy Jackson)
Brief Summary (spoilers)
Reyna is a daughter of the goddess Bellona, and she and her sister Hylla lived at C.C.’s Spa and Resort before Percy and Annabeth let loose the raging pirates who destroyed her home. However, their sharp weapon skills allowed them to escape the island, and here the sisters separated: Hylla became the Queen of the Amazons while Reyna become the Praetor of the Twelfth Legion at the esteemed Camp Jupiter, and grew close to Jason Grace. She has the only Pegasus at camp, Scipio (or Skippy). Her dogs Argentum and Aurum do not like liars
While in battle she prefers to use a dagger or imperial gold spear. She is very influential and makes a fantastic leader.
Why is Reyna the most epic? She led her camp through the toughest of times and she is a born leader. Reyna is not afraid to speak her mind in any situation. She may seem tough at first, but always has the Roman’s camp’s best interest at heart. She is brave, courageous, and loyal to her people. She is truly the definition of an epic character.

She started out as a barbie working for the sorcerer Circe, but she managed to turn herself into a fighting machine. She became an incredibly strong leader and leads Camp Jupiter as Praetor. – jayebirdgirl
Reyna What-Exactly-Is-Her-Last-Name is one of those few characters that can be cold, cruel, and distant but still get away with being Epic. It’s a unique trait and that why she’s included here. Granted we’ve only seen just a little action from this daughter of Bellona, but I think we all can agree we want to see more. Reyna’s got that certain spark that she uses to inspire her fellow campers that can only be described as epic. She’s similar to Annabeth in the way she thinks, and I would love to see these two go at it in a strategy meeting! I hope my first impression of her was right, and I hope we get to see plenty more of her in the future! – thefandompjadmins
