The Land of the Dead comes to life in the first preview for Disney Pixar’s COCO!

Just in time for a big weekend preview run in front of Beauty and the Beast, Disney Pixar has released the first teaser trailer for its Day of The Dead themed adventure, Coco!

Coco follows Miguel, a young boy with a passion for music and a bit of an idolization issue when it comes to his favorite musician, Ernesto de la Cruz. When Miguel finds and strums de la Cruz’s guitar on Día de los Muertos, he finds himself transported to the Land of the Dead. The experience is strange and frightening, but it may also help Miguel answer some big questions about his life.

The teaser focuses on the very beginning of Miguel’s journey, but its colorful design and sweet, adventurous lead are sure to win hearts.

Coco hits theaters on November 22, 2017.

Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
