Three more actors added to MORTAL ENGINES Cast

Peter Jackson’s MORTAL ENGINES adds three actors to the cast to the movie, which is getting underway in New Zealand.

Actors Rege-Jean Page (Roots), Patrick Malahide (Game of Thrones), and Colin Salmon (Limitless) have been added to the cast of the Peter Jackson-produced Mortal Engines. The movie, which is being directed by Christian Rivers, stars Robert Sheehan (The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Misfits) as the main protagonist Tom Natsworthy, Stephen Lang (Avatar) as Chrysler Peavy, and Hugo Weaving (The Lord of the Rings trilogy).

The story is set in a future world devastated ecologically and technologically, where certain cities such as London are run by engines and move about Earth, giving them the ability to prey on other smaller towns for resources.

The plot centers on a teen named Tom Natsworthy who, along with a young woman from a territory known as the Outlands, uncovers a mystery that could change the world order.

Rege-Jean Page played Chicken George in History Channel’s 2016 Roots mini-series. He was also in BBC’s contemporary drama Waterloo Road.

Patrick Malahide is a veteran actor with a long list of credits. He played Balon Greyjoy in HBO’s Game of Thrones and recently appeared in Bridget Jones’s Baby as George Wilkins.

Colin Salmon was recently seen on the now cancelled CBS series Limitless and also appeared in the first 2 seasons of the CW’s Arrow as Walter Steele.

Mortal Engines is scheduled to arrive in theaters December 14, 2018.
