STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Director J.J. Abrams Confirms Some Rumors

Director J.J. Abrams

Director J.J. Abrams says some spoilers are true

J.J. Abrams, the director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has a big weight on his shoulders.  But it’s more the fans that are putting the weight on him than probably himself.

And when it comes to the expectations of the fans, that can be a bit overwhelming, especially when the fans start getting as much information and details as possible from wherever they think they can get legitimate information from.

We’ve actually been hesitant to post all the rumors that are running rampant, however, that doesn’t mean that all of it is without merit.  And it seems that J.J. Abrams knows this as well, since he recently confirmed some of those rumors.

“There are a ton of rumours – some true, some false. But I’m grateful for everyone who would want to read a spoiler because it means that they care and want to see the movie. I know what it feels like, as an enormous Star Wars fan myself.”

So, yes, some of those rumors are definitely true.  However, it’s obvious Mr. Abrams is not planning on disclosing which of those rumors are actually true.  Heck, we don’t even know what many of the actors’ roles are in the movie!

But he does look forward bringing the movie to us:

“I can’t wait for you to see it. It’s been a blast working on this and luckily we have an incredible post-production team. There are always challenges as you go but it’s been a complete kick to put this together.”

I’m just still hoping lens flare is the worst thing that I can expect to see.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is scheduled to open in theaters on December 18, 2015.  The movie takes place thirty years after the Return of the Jedi and will star many of the original stars reprising their roles, including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher.
