James and the Giant Peach, another of Disney’s live-action remakes finds a director!
According to Deadline, Sam Mendes is in talks to develop and direct Disney’s live-action James and the Giant Peach. The project is being penned by Nick Hornby.
Roald Dahl’s book James and the Giant Peach was originally adaptation in 1996 using stop-animation. The story focuses on an orphan boy, James, who lives with his two mean aunts. He befriends giant, human-like bugs who live inside a giant peach and joins them on their journey to New York City.
Mendes has also directed the last two James Bond movies, Skyfall and Spectre.
