M.A. Bennett‘s newly released Young Adult thriller S.T.A.G.S. is headed to the big screen with the help of a screenwriter who’s not unfamiliar with portraying teens in the midst of a bloodsport.
Peter Craig, who co-wrote The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, has signed on to write the screenplay. He also co-wrote The Town and 12 Strong, among other films.
S.T.A.G.S. follows Greer, a freshman at an elite English boarding school St. Aidan the Great’s School (aka S.T.A.G.S.) After feeling less than welcomed, Greer is unexpectedly invited to an off-campus getaway by an especially well-off group known as the Medievals. Upon arriving, she quickly realizes that she and nine other attendees are meant to be hunted as the weekend’s entertainment.
The book is a dark commentary on wealth and privilege, so we’re super intrigued to see how it will play out on screen.
For now, the S.T.A.G.S. novel is available at a bookstore near you or you can order it via Amazon.
