New AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Trailer Airs During College Football Championship

This latest Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer features new scenes that seem to show more of the dissension between the team that we’ve been hearing about.  And unfortunately, Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, is a prime target for not only Ultron, but from the other team members.  You’ll catch glimpses of him in his Hulkbuster suit battling, who else, the Hulk.  You’ll also see him out of his gear being literally hung up by Thor.   And getting thrown against the wall presumably by Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen.

Tony Stark in Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer #2

This movie certainly doesn’t feel like it’s going to be any fun for Mr. Stark, especially since he’s the one who’s responsible for bringing Ultron to “life” (this idea is different from the comics version of Ultron’s creation, but is in line with the alternate slower and less happy version of the Pinocchio song “No Strings on Me” that plays throughout the trailers, since Ultron compares himself to the wooden puppet and Stark as his Gepetto), and thus probably takes the brunt of the guilt for the disaster that they’re obviously going to experience throughout the film.

However, Stark is not the only one who’ll be taking a beating. There’s a bit of a scene in which Chris Evan‘s Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, battles mano a mano with Ultron himself. Thor looks like he’s being electrocuted, which then cuts to the aforementioned scene with him grabbing Stark by the throat.

An interesting catch was that of Scarlett Johansson‘s Natasha Romanoff, and I could be wrong, where it looks like a flashback scene of her when she’s slightly younger, pre-Black Widow.  Might we be looking into Natasha’s history of how she became the Black Widow?  I could be overspeculating on that, though.

And we still have yet to know how much of the Vision we’ll see!

We’ll just have to see the movie when it hits theaters on May 1st.

When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for a global adventure.

Alongside Downey Jr., Evans, Olsen, and Johansson, the superhero sequel also stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson.  Joss Whedon directed.
