THE FLASH Movie To Undergo Complete Script Rewrite

THE FLASH movie is racing in a new direction.

After a series of woes and director dropouts, The Flash movie is going back to the beginning with a brand new script.

Warner Bros. has hired King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Robin Hood: Origins screenwriter Joby Harold to do a page-one rewrite of the script, which means they’ll scrap old story lines and possibly even certain characters in favor of a new direction.

Though several characters– including Eobard Thwane, Jay Garrick, and Leonard Snart– were reportedly among the supporting roles in the original script, they may not make the cut this time around. Other than Ezra Miller, who will have already established himself as Barry Allen thanks to Justice League hitting theaters before the solo movie release, only two other actors have been announced: Kiersey Clemons will play love interest Iris West and Billy Crudup will play Barry’s father, Henry Allen.

According to Variety‘s sources at Warner Bros., the studio is in no rush to finish the script and hire a new director, as Ezra Miller has filming obligations for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2 in the coming months.

The Flash movie was originally scheduled for March 16, 2018, but the production delay makes the actual release date an unknown factor.
