Disney announced the new title for the WRECK-IT RALPH Sequel

Disney announced their movie release schedule for 2017-2018 at CinemaCon and revealed the new title for the WRECK-IT RALPH sequel.

It’s CinemaCon week and a lot of teasers and movies were screened at the National Association of Theater Owners event, including footage from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and a surprise movie screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. But along with the screening and the footage release, Disney also announced the title for the Wreck-It Ralph sequel – Ralph Breaks the Internet.

The directing duo of the original Wreck-It Ralph, Phil Johnston and Rich Moore, will once again be running the show, with producer Clark Spencer. Actors John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch, and Jack McBrayer are all returning to reprise their characters Ralph, Vanellope, Felix, and Sergeant Calhoun.

“To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore,” said Moore in a press release. “Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know – the internet – but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.”

“We’re so excited to be working with Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz, Fix-It Felix and Sergeant Calhoun again,” said Johnston, “and we have new characters we look forward to unveiling. At the center of this film, as in the first one, is the relationship between Ralph and Vanellope, two once-outcasts, who in each other, found true friendship.”

Ralph Breaks the Internet is slated for a March 9, 2018 release.
