Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson To Star In EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING Adaptation

EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING finds its Maddy and Olly in two popular young actors!

Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson have been tapped for the two lead roles in the movie adaptation of Nicola Yoon’s Young Adult debut Everything, Everything!

Amandla Stenberg will star as Maddy, a teenager with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) aka “bubble baby syndrome,” meaning she doesn’t have a proper immune system and can’t enjoy a normal life. Instead, Maddy is confined to her carefully sterilized home with no in-person companionship other than her mother and her nurse, Carla. When Nick Robinson’s character, Olly, moves next door, Maddy can’t help but notice him through the windows of her home. As Oliver beings to not only notice Maddy but fight for her attention, what will Maddy risk in order to connect with him?

The bright, heartwarming novel Everything, Everything was released in September 2015. According to THR, filming is set to begin this September with Stella Meghie directing.

Amandla Stenberg is perhaps best known as Rue from The Hunger Games, but she’s also had roles in Sleepy Hollow, Mr. Robinson, and Beyonce’s Lemonade, among other titles. She’s also attached to star in the movie adaptation of Angela Thomas’ upcoming novel about racial tensions in America, The Hate U Give.

Nick Robinson has starred in Jurassic World, The 5th Wave, Melissa & Joey, and more.

The Everything, Everything movie hasn’t announced a release date just yet.
