JURASSIC WORLD 2 enlists help from an old favorite!
Jurassic World brought a new set of characters into the Jurassic Park franchise, but its sequel will see the return of an old favorite.
Jeff Goldblum is set to return as Dr. Ian Malcolm, a mathematician brought to the original park as a consultant, in the yet-to-be-titled follow-up. Ian survived both the original film and the sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, so we don’t know what could possibly convince him to return to an island full of dinosaurs for a third time.
The film will see the return of Chris Pratt as Owen, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire, and B.D. Wong as Dr. Wu. It will also include franchise newcomers Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, and Justice Smith, among others.
Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow stepped down from the project to focus on Star Wars: Episode IX and was replaced by J.A. Bayona, but he still wrote the sequel’s script with Derek Connelly.
Jurassic World 2 is due out on June 22, 2018.
