Percy Jackson sings his woes away in THE LIGHTNING THIEF musical peek!

The world of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson books are hitting the stage in New York City this spring, but fans all over the world can get a taste of this wild musical adaptation now thanks to a new sneak peek video!

Check out The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical‘s star Chris McCarrell belting out the song “Good Kid,” which seems like a tune that will be featured early in the production. If you’re a fan of the books and musicals in general, we think you’ll be very pleased!

We never really knew we wanted a Percy Jackson musical, but now we’re totally on board!

The show opens March 23, 2017 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in New York City. Tickets are available via the box office and by telephone, but they’re not for sale online yet. Go to lightningthiefmusical.com for more details.

  1. So my first impression of this was like the actual heck. Percy Jackson made into a musical; the movies were just … I don’t know the word, but after watching Chris McCarrell as Percy Jackson singing Good Kid. I think that this will make the Percy Jackson movie blow up like the Princess Andromeda (RIP Beckendorf). Don’t know how the show will come in the end, but monsters aren’t going to be the only ones to go to Tartarus *cough Percy Jackson Directors cough*. Hopefully this musical will finally bring good praise to the Percy Jackson name.
