Our golden girl is at it again! After winning six of seven awards last night at the People’s Choice Awards and receiving an Academy Award nomination the following morning, Jennifer Lawrence took home three more trophies Thursday night at the Critics’ Choice Awards! Jennifer won Best Actress in an Action Movie for The Hunger Games, and also scored Best Actress in a Comedy! She also shared Silver Linings Playbook‘s win for Best Acting Ensemble. 

In her speech, Jennifer said all the sweat paid off!

“Critics aren’t so bad,” Lawrence said when she took to the stage to accept the award for Best Actress in an Action Movie for “The Hunger Games.” “On behalf of the entire crew of ‘The Hunger Games,’ all the sweat was worth it. It was so hot filming that movie.

Congratulations, Jen! May the odds be ever in your favor at the Golden Globes and Oscars!

The Hunger Games won big tonight at the People’s Choice Awards, including Favorite Movie! Also a big congratulations to the always beautiful Jennifer Lawrence for winning Favorite Movie Actress, and Favorite Face of Heroism! The Hunger Games also took home Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Movie Franchise! Our main trio of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth also won Favorite On-Screen Chemistry! Congratulations to the cast and crew!

A BLOCKLEY Primary School pupil has come top of the class with his drawing of a famous motorbike and sidecar.

Ten-year-old Theo Aspey won first prize for his drawing of the vehicle seen in the Harry Potter films in a competition organised by Blockley Horticultural Society and Blockley Heritage Society.

…“I’m good at drawing and a huge Harry Potter fan,” he said.

He also enjoyed sitting in Harry Potter’s sidecar at the Blockley Heritage Society’s exhibition that was held on the same day.

The sidecar’s maker Watsonian Squire, based at the nearby Northwick Business Centre, supplied the sidecar for Harry Potter fans to see along with a video showing how the filmmakers achieved many of the special effects. It may be early days for Theo to be thinking about his future career, but he said he would interested in applying his artistic talent in film set design – or he may even try his hand at being an inventor.

Sutherland will also be at the festival for an homage to his prolific career. The actor will also be named Commander of Arts and Letters by the French cultural minister. The Alan J. Pakula-directed Klute (1971) will screen followed by a “Hollywood conversation” with Sutherland.

At the awards, Josh had time to talk about his thoughts on Francis Lawrence directing Catching Fire, the Catching Fire scene he cannot wait to shoot (SPOILERS!), how he’s adjusting to stardom, his previous works, and what he looks for in a girlfriend!
