Sarah J. Maas To Release New THRONE OF GLASS Universe Novel

Chaol is getting his own novel, but the THRONE OF GLASS conclusion is getting a delay.

While writing a little novella for fans of the Throne of Glass series, things got a little out of hand of Sarah J. Maas. But the good news is the series universe is expanding in a big way!

Maas’ yet-to-be-titled novella following fan favorite Chaol Westfall is now a full-length novel and, according to a statement from the series blog, “another major installment in the TOG saga.” Goodreads lists the novel as “5.1” in the series, which means it likely takes place right after Empire of Storms.

The book already has a release date as well: September 5, 2017!

But with the good news comes a bit of sad news. Due to some recent health problems for Sarah, the conclusion to the series is ultimately being delayed. The last Throne of Glass book will now hit shelves on May 1, 2018. The novel was originally due out in late 2017.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica-the stronghold of the southern continent’s mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both-and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.
