Penguin Teen Game-Changer Interview: Stephanie Perkins On THERE’S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE

Stephanie Perkins divulges her love of horror in THERE’S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE interview!

Penguin Teen stormed BookCon last weekend with five game-changer authors, all of whom have major YA releases coming this fall.

We were lucky enough to sit down with each of the authors as part of a roundtable event and discuss their books, their inspirations, and their writing processes.

Stephanie Perkins, who is best known for romantic Anna and the French Kiss series, is taking a turn into horror with There’s Someone Inside Your House, a teen slasher novel that will thrill readers. During the roundtable, she talked about her personal history with horror, cinematic influences, just how scary the book is, and the serious lack of serial killers in YA fiction.

“It’s very object-based until you get to the stabbing!”

Peter Bognanni

Stay tuned as we present even more game-changer interviews tomorrow. We’ll also have plenty of fun coverage on all of these titles a little closer to their release, so be on the lookout for that!

Scream meets YA in this hotly-anticipated new novel from the bestselling author of Anna and the French Kiss.

One-by-one, the students of Osborne High are dying in a series of gruesome murders, each with increasing and grotesque flair. As the terror grows closer and the hunt intensifies for the killer, the dark secrets among them must finally be confronted.

International bestselling author Stephanie Perkins returns with a fresh take on the classic teen slasher story that’s fun, quick-witted, and completely impossible to put down.
