New Editions Being Made for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

The magical textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is going under a makeover and hitting shelves early next year.

Fans of the Harry Potter universe are eagerly anticipating the upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is a prequel to the Harry Potter tale we’ve all grown to love.

However, before achieving international fame as a movie, Fantastic Beasts originally appeared in the Harry Potter books, as one of Harry’s textbooks. In 2001, J.K. Rowling published the magical textbook under the name Newt Scamander, who is the author of the textbook in the magical world.

Scholastic has announced that new editions of the original book will be released in 2017, after the movie hits theaters in the fall. The reissue will include a new foreword by the queen J.K. Rowling herself, a new cover design, and new illustrations distributed throughout the book.

The new published versions of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be on shelves on March 14, 2017. The movie will be hitting theaters on November 19 this fall.
